Everything Counts

Bodies react to demands by producing stress caused by mental health. Stress may be brought on by a wide variety of circumstances or occurrences. When individuals are confronted with something novel and unexpected that challenges our sense of self, or when they feel powerless over a certain circumstance, this response is common.

There are several causes of mental health, including loss of a loved one, family conflict, unemployment, and financial difficulties. Mental health may also be negatively affected by work-related stress and an average of 24 workdays are lost each year owing to health problems caused by stress in the workplace.

Most individuals can relate to at least some of the emotions discussed above. As far as I can tell, stress has a greater impact on certain individuals than others. There are others who cannot function under pressure, and for them, just getting out of bed on time every morning may be a major source of stress.

The constant pressure to decide between "heating and eating" and paying all of the bills and other expenses that pile up shows no indication of abating. This is beginning to have serious consequences for our emotional wellbeing. However, as a first step, individuals should try not to keep their emotions bottled up. Talking things through with a reliable person, such as a family member or close friend, might help cool things down. Most likely, they share similar emotions, and the old adage that "a problem shared is a problem halved" holds true.
